At least on the G4, I know lost's of people have had issues with Marshmallow. If there's an older version (ie Lollipop vs Marshmallow) you COULD look into backing up the phone (NANDROID backup) just in case and then putting it back on Lollipop to see if the problem goes away. If all else fails, and you feel comfortable doing it, research what version of Android you have and what version your model of phone (not the Galaxy S7 but the WHOLE model number, ie the AT&T version of the Galaxy S7, probably SM-G930A if it's the S7, SM-G935A if it's the S7 Edge, but double check that to be sure) originally shipped with. ![]() Not the one from within Android but a hard reset from recovery. Check out this fantastic collection of Samsung S7 Edge wallpapers, with 45 Samsung S7 Edge background images for your desktop, phone or tablet. Press the text input field and write the text for your email message. But you may not know, you can use direct dial, direct message and contact shortcuts in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge to speed up the process. Press Subject and key in the required subject. If that fails, I would try a factory reset. Similarly, when you want to text someone, you have to start the messaging app, find the contact, compose the message, then send it from your Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. So I would suggest that you first try clearing not only the cache but also all the data from the messaging app in question in the app manage. I ended up doing a factory reset but that did not fix it! I then used a tool called LGUP to flash the old Android 5.1 Lollipop stock firmware image that the phone originally shipped with (they must've upgraded it at the factory or just installed 6 to begin with because the factory reset did not take it back to Lollipop). I would be talking to someone and this weird non-number "unknown" call would come through after 30 seconds to a minute of talk time and CONNECT ALL BY ITSELF no ringtone, no click to answer, one minute I'm talking to my mom, then I hear a "call connected/disconnected" beep, i pull the phone from my face to see what's up and it shows "unknown" as the connected contact and the talk time is at 10 seconds and counting up even though I've been talking to my mom for at least 30 seconds (not always my mom mind you, it did that with nearly every call that lasted longer than 30 seconds to a minute). Select the images that you want to save and tap on Save. You can also tap the Add button to choose a photo as the SMS background. Step 2 You can tap on a color to change the text message background color. A small menu will appear allowing you to select the attachment (s) you want to save. Step 1 Open the Messages app and tap the More button in the top right corner, and then the Settings button. Tap and hold on the picture, a small menu will open up. I tried switching to Textra to and it did the same thing even when I had the app set to combine my text messages.Does your S7 run Android 6 Marshmallow? I got an LG G4 H810 from AT&T to replace my under warranty G3 (wish they'd just sent another G3, it's a far better phone than the "newer" G4) and it was getting crazy phone calls from an unknown address. Go to the text message with one of the photos you want to save. ![]() My friend, who also has a S7 Edge but is on T-Mobile, was able to send me a novel-like length text message, but now when he sends me one or if I send him one, it ends up being segmented. I haven't changed my settings between the time that I was able to receive big chunks of text and the capped ones, but it is really weird. More settings > Multimedia messages > Group conversation > On as well as auto retrieve is on More settings > Text messages > Auto combination > On ![]() My settings on the default messaging app is as followed:Įnhanced messaging > On and send as SMS/MMS messages is also on When I first got the S7 Edge, I was able to receive text messages in large chunks (literally straight up paragraphs), but out of nowhere I started to receive them in segments and I noticed that my character count started to break up as I was typing (**/2, 3, etc.). I just recently switched from an iPhone to the S7 Edge and so far I am really liking it! I turned off iMessage on all of my devices and did not have a problem with text messages until recently.
